The Classic All-Steel Folding Bike. Original design refined for modern cities. The original design with the 3-part fold, handmade in our London factory since 1975. Compact and robust-it’s a seriously engineered bike that’s fun to ride. Although the C Line is made to stand up to the rigours of everyday life in the city, owners have taken them on around-the-world trips, on country tours and even to the South Pole, but mainly they are used 364-days a year to improve the day-to-day (we recommend a day-off for an annual service).
You can load this 6-speed all-steel workhorse with luggage and a rack for all-weather commuting or touring, then go explore. Some owners have cycled these around the world. Most use them to improve their day-to-day.

Frame: Precision drawn heat-treated steel tubing with hand brazing and selected auto-brazed joints.

Wheelset: (F) Double-wall rim, 28 spokes laced to a Brompton front hub. (R) Double-wall rim, 28 spokes laced to a Brompton Wide ratio 3 speed internal gear hub with 2 speed external gears (13 and 16 tooth). Giving 6 usable gears with a 300% gear range.
Tyres: 349 x 35C Schwalbe Marathon Racer. A puncture resistant tyre with a reflective sidewall.
Drivetrain
Pedals: Brompton Folding left hand and non-folding right-hand pedals
Crank: (6061) forged aluminium crank with 50T chainring and integrated chainguard.
Front Derailleur: n/a
Rear Derailleur: Sturmey Archer 3 Speed rear hub with 2 speed chain pusher
Shifters: 2 or 3 speed Trigger shifter.
Bottom Bracket: Square taper bottom bracket

(7050T74) aluminium handlebar with solution heat-treatment and shot peened finish
Grips: Lock-on grips with soft-compound rubber adhered to an engineered core.
Headset: Brompton headset
Brakes: Brompton Dual Pivot Calipers
Saddle: Brompton saddle with integrated carry handle (147mm). Incorporates a mount for a Brompton rear light and saddle bag.
Seat post: Chromoly steel tube, centreless ground, chrome plated for hardness, delivered in a standard length.
